Ideal for a breather from the smog and traffic pollution,
the Milan Acquarium is one of the oldest and largest of its kind in Italy.
Designed by Sebastiano Locati in 1906, the Acquarium has just been completely restored by architects Piero de Amicis and Luigi Maria Guffanti.
Thirty-six enormous pools are filled with more than 100 different species of fish,
living in recreated environments ranging from the Amazon to the Mediterranean.
